INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF CHIROPRACTIC1997 JUL 53(4) 51-5
ABSTRACT: Back-labor is just one of the many adverse conditions that pregnant patients may experience during pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Many other conditions may also be effectively addressed by taking a biomechanical approach to correction before embracing invasive medical procedures. I would strongly encourage all women of childbearing age to seek out a chiropractor who is trained in the care of pregnant women and children long before conception. A well-trained chiropractor can help prepare the body structurally for the process of creation and the delivery of a new life. While the pain of childbirth may be a woman’s rite of passage, it need not be a time of unnecessary torture and despair.
