Included in this article are three case histories of children at different levels of maturation and treatment. They give you an introduction to the encompassing approach utilized in chirodontic diagnosis and treatment. The clinical necessity of this discipline is outlined, reviewing neurological and embryological connections. The Temporal Mandibular region is shown to be as critical, if not more so, in childhood health as in adult health. Anatomical connections clearly link dysfunction of this region (TMJ) to common childhood conditions. Brief coverage will also be given to specific criteria and protocols that have been found to be key elements in optimizing the chiropractic/dental relationship’s success.
