The importance of accuracy in pelvic analysis cannot be overestimated, due to its support function for the entire spine and the influence of sacroiliac dysfunction on the muscular system of the body. Most often, a substantial part of the patient’s complaints stem from some chronic manifestations of pelvic dysfunction. The astute clinician will want to unravel the relative complexities of the pelvic subluxation complex, to insure both a decrease in compensatory spinal changes, an increase in the stability of the spine and pelvis, and the holding power of the patient. Discussed is Sacro Occipital Technique’s (SOT) category I and II, as well as other methodologies utilizing standard posture analysis, prone leg check, and monitored stress testing.
