Major Bertrand DeJarnette: Six Decades of Sacro Occipital Research, 1924-1984.

Variations of spinal techniques have been promulgated in chiropractic. The founder of sacro occipital technique (SOT), Major Betrand DeJarnette, DC, DO authorized his first students to “teach and practice” the art of SOT. One of the most original and certainly the most enduring of the itinerant teachers was DeJarnette. This paper details the long career of DeJarnette and his work known as SOT, now enjoying mainstream utilization in the profession.
