S.O.T. Category II – Review and Completion

Hochman JI Today’s Chiro Sep/Oct 1996; 25 (5): 36-38

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) pelvic blocks use no thrust and do not bring the sacroiliac joint to tension, so the use of muscle and ligament balancing prior to blocking allows the patient to accept the gentle force of the blocks more successfully. In addition to the psoas and iliofemoral muscular corrections trapezius fiber palpation can be palpated and corrected. An aid to leg length analysis in category II is presented called, “Neurological Permission” where a congruency between leg length and various indicators is determined. The basic two cranial correction for category II is presented with specific indications for use.
