Bilateral Temporal Technique

Sarkin JM Dig Chiro Econ 1992 Jul/Aug; 35: 38

Although cranial adjusting can be quite complex and take years of experience, there are basic and easy cranial procedures that are extremely effective. Often the temporal bones are fixed, either in internal rotation (this virtually always occurs together with sphenobasilar extension) or in external rotation (this virtually always occurs together with sphenobasilar flexion). The purpose of the bilateral temporal technique is to free the temporals into their normal range of motion. The key to this correction is developing sensitivity for aberrant temporal motion, and this can only be accomplished with prolonged practice.
